4c - Listen to the Audio Files and Practice
Practice the forward & backward roll on all the chords you have learned so far,

Am  C  D  A  E  and  F Major 7

till it is very fluid and making sure all the notes of the chords are clear, no buzzing or dead notes

The timing (Beat) is to be even
1  2  3  4  5  6 ~ 1  2  3  4  5  6 ~ 1  2  3  4  5  6 ...etc

Accent on Thumb.  (Make the thumb sound a little stronger/louder than the fingers.)

Practise this picking pattern till you are totally comfortable with it
It needs to become second nature to build a strong foundation

Timing        ( 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. )
Pick pattern ( T. 1. 2. 3. 2. 1. )

Notice the chord of E is played twice
These are the first chords to the song "House of the Rising Sun"

The intention is not to sound like the song yet but to just get the finger mechanics working and try to close the gap between chord changes

* A chord progression is a group of chords
that make a tune or song.

Practise this picking pattern till you are totally comfortable with it
It needs to become second nature to build a strong foundation
