Practice the forward & backward roll using any or all of the chords learned so far.

Practise this picking pattern till you are totally comfortable with it
It needs to become second nature to build a strong foundation

4b - Learn a new Chord F Major 7 using the Picking Pattern Number Two:-  The Forward and Backward Roll
The chord of F Major 7 can be used as a substitute chord for the chord of F Major as the F Major chord is difficult for complete beginners to play

Practice the F Maj 7 chord using both the
forward roll & the forward & backward Roll

Again work at making very clean  sounding chords
No buzzing or dead notes

Remember for a complete beginner this may take days or even weeks to perfect.  Just keep practicing the mechanics of all the exercises

NOTE: The F Maj7 chord shown here is a 3 finger chord, but I recommend you also practise the 4 finger F Maj7 chord shown in Module 1 Lesson 4  -  4B Video
