Rule number 3

Finger Mechanics

Basically the fingers must be able to respond quickly, accurately and most important in time.

1st - First the chord hand.

Let us use three chord, using the Key of A.  We can use what is called a

I – IV – V Chord Progression. ( One - Four - Five -  chord progression means chords built from the 1st  4th and 5th notes of a scale,

in this case the  A Major Scale)

  I                  IV               V

A Major – D Major – E Major

You need to be able to change from one chord to the next without any hesitation.

All this is, is practice, a lot of repetition till it is right.

You need to be able to play these chords in any order and in time so when you try to strum or pick a tune or song you can change from one chord to the next without any gaps.

You want to use other chords in other keys too, the little eBook mentioned before gives all the information about what chords will go together and more.
